Using AI: What Most People Overlook

How did we get here?

Contorting ourselves to fit in with social media app algorithms, chasing numbers and likes, following latest trends online, rather than embracing our own authentic creative expression and inner knowing.

Judging, blaming and turning on each other in comments online, rather than remembering the human collective family.

Using other people's voices for video audios, rather than the power of our own.

Running to AI to seek advice, rather than listening to our own heart and intuition or seek support from a trained real human being.

Masking our age, real hair, real nails, real curved, wrinkled, hairy bodies to fit in with "beauty" narratives that people should look a certain way.

Believing fed stories of division... rather than the felt connected thread between each human.

____

Beyond the AI created words, screens, fake nails, social media filters lies a spark of LIFE that is far greater.

A spark of LIFE within you, others, every living being, nature and all.

LIFE that guides, reconnects, inspires, heals and more.

____

With the increased use of AI there's something important that many overlook.

FREQUENCY.

We know thanks to ancient practices and endless scientific studies that everything is made up of frequency - particles vibrating at different speeds.

What each person thinks, speaks, eats, drinks, creates, cooks, moves... and also numbers, words, food all vibrate differently.

Yes technology and AI can be useful, save so much time, though does it hold the same frequency as human creative expression?

When I write my monthly email newsletter, or posts online it's not just words - it holds a frequency.

AI can replicate a similar email, improve it grammatically, create catchy social media posts etc, though it doesn't hold the same frequency compared to when I sit down and express from my heart and Soul.

Monthly shares I send by email, blog and social media posts will ALWAYS be written personally by me.

I could save hours using AI for emails and posts. Though it's not the same felt experience... for my creative expression, and those receiving it.

The monthly shares I send are not just a FREE email with insights... it's a gift from my heart to yours, words that expand, inspire and ignite deep remembrance within your heart on an energetic, cellular level.

Agnes Perspective Photography

Not saying we can't use AI and technology (90% of my work is online - thank goodness for technology!) I've found it super useful transcribing audios, and even Chat GPT can serve a purpose at times.

Though this time calls for important reflection on where we direct our energy, what frequency we wish to share with the world and how that impacts and creates the world we live in.

Human felt, creative expression heals.

Human felt, creative expression connects.

Human felt, creative expression is the overlooked medicine of today's world.

And... who's guidance are you seeking above all?

External online opinions? Only chat GPT? Or are you creating real human connections and prioritising your intuition, heart and Soul?

Are you remembering that you ARE nature? That when you reconnect to nature you invite healing at so many levels.

Don't fall for the masks, the distorted stories, the distractions (and that doesn't mean turning a blind eye either - it's important to tend to critical world events and support each other).

Though it's important to remember the bigger picture, the deeper truth and return to the heart if you want to see a different world.

LIFE is inviting you to remember.

Who you are, who others truly are, and what this human experience is really about. You're spiritual being in a human experience.

Back to the breath, that's LIFE right there.

Back to the beating heart, that's LIFE right there.

This is also an important key to reducing stress and anxiety too.

When you reconnect to THIS, things become a lot clearer, you gain more resilience and can navigate the ups and downs with more ease.

Back to the main question - what frequency are you sharing with the world?

Have thoughts about AI and the online world? I'd love to hear - let me know in the comment section below.

And if you’re not on the list and want to receive the monthly email you can do so here. There’s a FREE audio, 3 steps to calm included too.

The Forgotten Side Of Spirituality In Life... And How to Experience Deeper Fulfillment

Two elements.

How do we find a balance between the following... and do we really need this balance?

When our focus is split between physical life and spiritual life (and I'm not specifically talking about organised religion here, I'm talking about our deeper, personal beliefs about LIFE whatever that may be for us) sometimes we're missing the beauty and magic from the two combined together.

Whatever our beliefs are, it seems human beings regardless of gender, age, race have often found reassurance in some sort of belief about our life experience. Whether we don't believe in a higher force or we do, whatever spectrum we may associate ourselves with and anywhere in between... our beliefs have often given us a sense of security and comfort.

Many connect with the understanding that within everything is energy, vibrating particles. This has been proved time and time again by scientists. We  have electromagnetic fields. Everything from the food we consume, objects that surround us all have vibrating particles in variations. Solids vibrate slower, so we can actually touch them. Liquids, vibrate more quickly making the liquid form that we see. And gases vibrate even quicker, so quick that we often cannot see them.

Regardless of speed and form... the energy remains.

This energy, some call consciousness. There is this universal loving energy that gives life.

Something I've noticed in the self awareness industry is that sometimes we can move so far away from the physical realm focusing too much on the Spiritual side of things that we forget why we're here. At least why I feel we're here... some could argue this is simply my perception!

Let's look at what we call ourselves... 'Human beings'.

Human + Being.

We are not just a physical body, we are the energy, spirit and breath that fills it and animates it. When someone dies, their physical body still remains a short while, it's the breath, the life force that has moved on. Also we are not just an energetic being floating around, we have a physical body grounding us into this human experience.

Whatever the reasons are why we're here, and who we really are... I guess we'll find out in detail one day. At the moment, what many of us have are different elements of this whole truth.

"Truth is a sphere" as my NLP Trainer, would often say.

Perhaps we're not here to solely focus on the physical side of life, there's something more. And... perhaps we're not here to ignore the physical experiences of life too.

It's the two together. Hand in hand. Human + Being.

To remember our spiritual (energetic) nature whilst making the most of this human physical experience we call life - to really experience sensations, physical experiences and pleasures, especially with our physical body. Often there can be the misconception that to be focused on material aspects in life is 'shallow' or not 'spiritual'. Doesn't sound like a very spiritually, loving belief to me.

We're here in a physical body with material aspects around us for a reason. For the experience of it and to really enjoy it in all it's colours and shades on offer.

At the same time, being solely focused on the physical side, ignoring or dismissing any belief in something else (whether that's simply energy from a scientific point of view or a Soul, Spirit, consciousness, higher force etc) often can leave us searching for more whether we're conscious of it or not.

Unsatisfied with life. Unfulfilled. Something missing.

When we combine the two, in whatever way that resonates for us we can experience even more fulfilment in life.

Acknowledging our physical body and physical experience whilst remembering what lies deeper within ourselves and others - an energy, a Soul.

To ignore the pleasures our physical experience can bring some would say is to ignore a fundamental part of spirituality. Meditating all day long does not make us more spiritual than others. Tapping into the simple sensations and pleasures our senses and body allow us to experience can be a magical and spiritual part of life.

And to ignore the wisdom and understanding deeper within ourselves, others and life is to ignore a vital part that many of us search for too.

It's seeing the bigger picture, whilst enjoying the details too.

Both, hand in hand.

Try this...
What are you grateful for in your physical experience right now? What sensations do you notice? Feel into it.

Experiencing this, what does this teach you about life? What deeper messages lie within? And if you're not sure, if you were to know... what do you think you'd discover?

My Wake Up Call... And It's Message

"I'm done conforming" I said to myself.

Following every 'Must Have Steps On How To Reach 6 Figures In Your Coaching Business' never really resonated with me. At times I felt guilty in the past for not taking part as I felt I 'should' be doing it because it was the seen thing to do.

"That's what all coaches do right? Doing __x__ training, __y__ program, __z__ social media tactic... so I need to do that too".

Yet some of it felt forced, rigid and even sneaky... (don't even get me started on Instagram following tactics). So I stepped away and felt set apart at times for doing so.

You have to post in ____ way, every day.
Have to do __x__, __y__ and __z__ to gain followers
You have to document all your life on social media stories everyday
Have to... must do... should do... etc.

The list grew longer and longer.

I'm good at being consistent with blog posts, social media updates, online community commitments, meetups, workshops etc. My Taurus determination has got me where I am today. I also noticed this Spring I needed a little more balance, running my business according to what resonates with me only without the guilt.

A while ago I felt low in energy, having spent years behind a computer working hard to spread the message about Wholehearted NLP and offer support to those seeking it. Carrying the business solo - accounts, publicity, creation, coaching, training, admin... everything... single handed.

Then I had a wake up call. Life slapped me in the face and brought me to my senses.

My health was stretched from the pressure I was putting on myself and a friend left the Earthly plane. Success took on a whole new meaning. Talking about this with a dear friend at a house party afterwards... I explained to her how I forgot about the true meaning of success in life and what's truly valuable.

Friends, family and health.

So I postponed all my events for a whole month, looked within and step by step started making necessary changes in my life.

A) RECONNECT TO THE BODY: I reconnected to my senses even more, getting out of my head and into my body. Attending regular yoga classes, dancing more around the house to my favourite music, appreciating my body with gratitude.

B) PRIORITISE VALUES: I started prioritising time with family even more, and catching up with friends because that's something I value. Life is too short not to acknowledge what we value.

C) TIME-OUT TO RELAX: I started taking time out from work, choosing to post social media updates ONLY when I really wanted to and felt I had something worth sharing.

I love my job, I feel passionate about spreading the message of finding gifts within the shadow and supporting individuals through that. Looking back I can see it was another layer to shed in realigning myself with what resonates in terms of how I manage my work/life balance.

To step a little further out of the rigidity and a little more into the fluidity.

So I decided upon a new work manifesto...

1) To post work based social media updates ONLY when I feel called to share an important message or valuable event. Bringing authenticity even more to the forefront of my work at ALL levels.

This doesn't mean to say to go for months without connecting with my community or that certain tips to gain publicity or out smart social media algorithms are unnecessary or even bad. If we value our community and have a message that can offer service and benefit, being present and learning useful tips can be a smart thing to do so the message actually gets seen. It's about using ONLY what resonates and leaving the rest. Using ONLY what feels authentic to us and letting go of what others may be doing if doesn't speak to us.

2) Listen to my intuition... when I need to step back and say no and when something is calling my attention.

Is it a complete 'yes!'? If not... then most often it's not the best choice for me, my business and clients so I won't go ahead.

3) Prioritise creative, relaxing, regeneration time out from work, as not only does this fuel work successes to come, it also contributes to true success in LIFE.

I share this openly because I feel it's important to keep bursting the bubble that all teachers are perfect and free from challenges - a common misconception, especially in the coaching/NLP world. Yes I've learnt some incredibly useful life changing tools over the years, and yes I've overcome many challenges too. This has helped me really understand clients deeply and guide them to their inner knowing during challenging life situations. Re-frame past events, rewrite the story within their unconscious and reconnect them to their true self within.

And just like any teacher... I'm human too.

A recent trip took me into the depths of the beautiful Cotswold's, in the UK with dear friends. A week away to unwind, laugh and explore. I remember before the trip, someone on social media commenting... "a whole week?! What will your clients do?!" I thought they were joking at first. Turned out they were serious and concerned for my clients well-fare if I was unavailable for a few days.

The old me would of felt guilty taking time out, questioning my actions and perhaps even slotted in a non-urgent hours of work during the trip, even if it could wait.

The new me wasn't having any of it.

Knowing full well my clients and business were going to benefit so much more by having a re-energised, grounded and centred coach, not to mention allowing me to feel more human again by creating a more harmonious work/life balance. Hey, I even postponed a Facebook live... something I would have never done before as commitment and consistency are BIG for me. Though I knew, deep within I needed a switch off from the online work world.

And you know what? It worked.

My energy built up with strength and I felt inspiration growing again within. Something I thought was disappearing... in reality it was simply waiting to be found again.

To find MYSELF again.

I felt tired back then because I was disconnected from my energy.
I felt lacking in inspiration back then because I was disconnected from my intuition.

The energy and intuition are within and around us... they ARE us. It's all about reconnecting to OURSELVES.

Because we are, whether we chose to realise it or not, the staring role in our life. There are no back ups, covers waiting to fill in behind the curtains.

It's us, this life, and our choices.

If you've been feeling tired with life's challenges and commitments recently ask yourself this... who am I living my life for?

And how do I choose to live it from now on?

Now I'd love to hear from you! Reflecting on this, what one change do you feel called to make in your life to really embrace and LIVE life fully? And when will you do that? Let me know in the comment section below.

How To Gain True Life Satisfaction

Life.

Duality.

I was reminded of this a few weeks back, celebrating the success of my recent NLP Graduate students - what an awesome group! And the same week hearing news of a friend that unexpectedly passed away.

On one hand I wanted to jump for joy and celebrate the success of my students... on the other I wanted to cry, grieve - shocked at the sudden news of my friend.

It was a BIG reminder on how valuable life is, and how we can take it for granted.

Hours passing by scrolling Facebook or taking the 100th photo for the perfect Instagram selfie. I read a post once by Karly Nimmo who has a two shot rule. She won't take more than two photos - and then one of those gets posted.

Or perhaps we binge eat, binge watch Netflix, use alcohol or smoking to disconnect from pain we may be feeling.

If endless social media or another vice really fulfills us deeply then by all means we can continue as long as it doesn't harm our health. More often than not it doesn't fulfill us in the long term - if we're really honest with ourselves, we're looking for something else deep down.

Love, belonging, connection, acceptance, excitement, variety, significance... the list goes on.

It's when we move through challenges, finding insights and learning from those moments that we transform the need to stick a 'Netflix plaster' over how we feel.

There can be ups and downs.

Life can bring moments of joy and love... and moments of anger and grief. Much of how we experience things is to do with what stories we tell ourselves about things. Whether we're conscious of this or not. Our thoughts & beliefs create the frustration, struggle, stress and more. Sometimes we may not want to acknowledge this, because when we do we can't point the finger anymore. We're responsible.

For our life.

How we choose to live it.

Whilst we may not be able to directly change all circumstances in the world and other peoples behaviour. One of our greatest gifts in life is that we have the gift of choice. Choice on what actions we take or don't take. How we choose to respond to things and see situations.

And this needn't mean an overwhelming list of do's and don'ts, feeling angry with ourselves if we are triggered yet again by a particular person or situation. Or feeling pressure to create big changes out of fear, setting goals looking for perfection as we believe it will bring a sense of belonging, rather than out of love for ourselves and our future.

Choice can simply mean choosing to make most of the simple little things. To really LIVE this life we are living in this human experience.

For example...

  • Stepping outside and breathing deeply rather than take our freedom to do this as granted.
  • Observing the beauty of a flower rather than hurriedly pass it by.
  • Closing our eyes and feeling the sunshine on our skin rather than think about endless to do lists.
  • Hearing the sounds that surround us as individual sounds of a larger orchestra rather than noise.
  • Noticing what we say to our self when we reconnect to the beauty of life in this way rather than beat ourselves up.

The list is endless.

There are many options and choices available.

Let's start with small, micro actions and experiences. It can be the small and simple things that often are the most powerful and beneficial.

I wonder... how many valuable things can we experience today?

3 Factors That Keep You Dis-Empowered & How To Break Free

Those of you who follow my page on Facebook might have noticed.

It wasn't the smoothest of rides.

Though as with most things there is always a silver lining.

Yes, this beach in the picture below looks idyllic. I literally drunk coconuts every day for nearly two weeks. Mmm my favourite!

It was also HOT.

So hot that you had to walk at half the speed you normally do. Sweat dripping constantly only to find relief when your face was pressed against a cool, peppermint, flannel during a Thai foot massage.

Yes Thailand!

One of my favourite countries and with people so warm that their friendly smiles are recognised as a national treasure. The 'land of smiles' as they say. And don't even get me started on the food! ;-)

What this photo doesn't show though is the journey in getting there.

It was a looong trip with nearly 8 hours worth of delayed flights. Apparently it only rains one or two days a year in Dubai, or so I heard. It just so happened that the day we transferred flights in Dubai there was torrential rain putting the majority of flights on hold.

You see the thing is, experiences happen and its our response and how we choose to view things that make a HUGE difference to our life enjoyment.

In reality they are simply just experiences.

We are the ones attaching meanings to events. We are creating these stories within our mind. And if pessimistic outlooks and stories are left to linger these can affect our emotional well-being significantly.

This journey was in fact a blessing. After two nights of not much sleep at all, I arrived to Bangkok and much to my surprise I had no jet lag as I had dealt with it all on route. I was able to slip into the local timezone easily without side affects at all.

Therefore more time to really enjoy Thailand. Yes!

These experiences can also give us memories, stories (blog posts!) and opportunities to learn. This journey made me aware of 3 important factors we often overlook. 3 things that keep us stuck, dis-empowered and as a victim to so called 'bad luck'.*

Tweet: "How we choose to view events determines how we experience events." Emma Bradford

FIRST: When you see a picture, a selfie, an image in a magazine... know that it doesn't always tell you the full story. This is especially important if you regularly compare your life and body to others. As the famous quote goes...

"Don't compare your backstage with some else's show reel" Steve Furtick

I cannot count the amount of clients, especially women who came to sessions with negative feelings and beliefs their body - feeling shameful and regularly wishing they had what others have. Especially when browsing social media. Remind yourself... these pictures are not the full story.

Choose to empower yourself instead.

SECOND: Ask yourself... what meaning am I attaching to this event? Start separating the simple facts apart from any emotional labels and limiting beliefs that you may have placed on top. The more we focus on the latter, the more that situation will be an emotional trauma for us.

For example... two young women go to a bar. Woman A attracts more male attention than Woman B. Woman B might start believing that men hate her (notice the negative story/meaning attachment). What could be more true is she may have already been giving herself negative self talk previously. In front of the mirror, getting changed, comparing herself to her friend in the lead up to entering the bar. By the time she arrived to the bar, her emotional state and physiology was reflecting the negative self view, which also determined her behaviour too. As they say... 93% of what we communicate is non-verbal.

Observe what meanings you attach... are you attaching meanings that are empowering or dis-empowering?

THIRD: Challenge yourself to find the positive learning in all situations. This is not to mean that you need to suppress your emotions and 'always be happy' everything is always great. No. We are human, we have a rainbow of emotions and these valleys and peaks add colour to life. Allow yourself to feel, notice, observe... and then learn from the event by finding the blessing in disguise. If we don't, we remain stuck as a victim, dis-empowered and fearful.

What we experience, quite often is not as bad as we think.

Whilst I was beyond tired, the great comedy and meditations on flight kept me happy and occupied during the journey. And after hearing news of terrorist attacks in Europe just hours after I landed back in Spain, my journey seemed totally insignificant in compassion. So grateful to be ALIVE.

I invite you today...

If you are experiencing something uncomfortable, how can you view that differently?

And if life happens FOR you, rather than to you what can you learn here?

I first heard this last question a few years ago and it really made me think. Its a wonderful way to quickly shift our perspective from being the 'victim' to an empowered student of life.

Now I'd love to hear from you!

After asking yourself the questions above, what have you learnt as a result? Using the comment section below I'd love to hear your shares. And you never know, it may help someone else too in a similar situation as they read the shares.

One Of The Most Important Things In Life...

One of the most important things in life...

Can you guess what it is?

Of course there are many important things... we all need shelter, nourishment, air to breathe, connection with others etc.

Tony Robbins often talks about the 6 Basic Human Needs which are...
  • Significance
  • Love
  • Certainty (perceived)
  • Variety
  • Growth
  • Contribution
In order to live a happy and fulfilled life we all need some level of each of these. Too much (perceived) certainty and life becomes predictable and boring... too much UNcertainty and we can feel lost, on edge, anxious and fearful. Each person has a different percentage of each need that they feel satisfied with.

So back to my question... what's one of the most important things in life?

Good Vibrations Barcelona World Dance Day 2018

FUN.

Simple right?

Fun can fit within the 6 basic human needs, we can have fun that also brings us a sense of variety. Fun can help us to grow, feel loved or even that we are contributing to the planet. It simply depends on what the activity is and how we perceive the experience.

So often we rush around life, wanting to 'achieve' more, 'do' more, 'earn' more... which often come with a lot of added pressure to succeed. Sometimes we take things (and ourselves) waaaay too seriously.

As George Bernard Shaw once said...

"We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing"

Not only does play help to keep us young, flexible and full of energy, it can also make life a whole lot more interesting if we are enjoying the ride rather than whipping ourselves for not being perfect. One of the many reasons I'm one of the Good Vibrations Barcelona organisers... the activities we do are fun!

So I invite you, as I have done with my clients (and also myself too many times) to add a little more fun into your weeks.

'I wonder... what can I do this week that is simply for no other reason...  is silly, fun, and entertaining?'

Below is a link to a video by friend Peter Sharp, helping those commuting to work to experience the journey a little differently. Something to add a little bit of Fun to peoples day.

Enjoy!

Now I'd love to hear from you... what element of FUN will you bring into your week? Let me know in the comment section below.

How to Increase Your Happiness Easily and Effectively

Whilst enjoying a lovely picnic the other day catching up with a dear friend, we started to discuss peoples passions in life and how my friend met a young woman recently who gave up everything so to enjoy her passion...dancing. She finally decided enough was enough after years of depression and stress, and made the change to to live life to the full doing what she loved. The result? She felt much happier.

If you are feeling stressed, run down, anxious or noticing random physical ailments and symptoms* I invite you to question what could be causing this. The majority of the time it can simply be because we are not incorporating what excites us, makes us smile or laugh into our life.

If you were to make a list of all the things you love doing (and I mean LOVE) as if something has once again ignited that flame inside, put a huge grin on your face and wrapped you in a warm comforting sunshine...what would this list contain? Sometimes the most simple, free things are the most wonderful.

A few that made it onto my list included blackberry picking in the countryside wearing wellies (yes really!) and photographing the incredible beauty of flowers. Notice what goes onto your list and ask yourself...

What does that say about who I am as a person?

How much am I incorporating into my life at the moment?

How can I bring more of these into my life?

And then notice what changes as you begin to do more of these on a weekly basis.

How are you living your life? Working in a job you hate, commuting long hours and finding comfort in the form of food or harmful habits? Or do you find time each week or day to take a few breaths outdoors in the park, call a dear friend for a chat or hear your favourite song and dance around your living room?

Often many of these things on our lists take under half an hour and if it places a smile on face, brings happiness and warmth to your day then surely its half an hour well spent. Bringing back that sparkle to your eyes.

When we use anchors or take part in activities that we enjoy, we build up our state feeling, happier, healthier and full of energy. When we feel like this, a small incidence or set back becomes like a raindrop on a waterproof coat...it simply rolls off and ceases to bother us. Useful isn't it?

So I invite you to incorporate at least 3 things you LOVE into your next week and notice what changes...and feel free to share your findings, I would love to hear your experiences.

May this be the beginning of many more fulfilling weeks to come - have a great week!

Lessons From Surfers

I was on the beach in Badalona a few months back watching the surfers catch the waves, having never surfed myself I tried to imagine what it must have been like for them (see below). This year, 2014, I´ll try surfing!

Its like surfers riding the waves, waiting for that ultimate opportunity, grasping it with all the energy they can muster for once it passes you don't know how long you will have to wait for the next ride.
Stepping into the unknown, excitement, fear of what may happen, anticipation and fear of falling off that board and having to start again.

However no matter how many times you fall nobody can take the positive learnings away from you that you have gained along the way.

Each insight bringing you closer to your desired outcome, the joy of experiencing that ride, the sense of pride that you have achieved it, the sense of wonder of being connected to nature in such a powerful way.

The wind in your hair, the power of the waves, the sense of freedom... not knowing how long the journey will last because that's what life is about.

Enjoying the ride no matter what.

What are you avoiding that will help you achieve your desired outcome?

What are you gaining by avoiding it?

How can you fulfill that intent in a positive, proactive way?

Monday, 2 December 2013

Welcome!

I was talking with a loved one the other day about a few insights I had whilst watching the surfers on Badalona beach, and he inspired me to share my thoughts in the form of a blog.

In 2009 I started researching and attending workshops, making huge shifts in my personal and professional life, changing career path from the Textile Furnishing Industry to what I really feel passionate about - helping others to experience the life they deserve.

Since qualifying as a NLP practitioner, and then later Master Level, I feel more empowered and at ease, having used NLP to overcome previous panic attacks and fears, I now share my skills with others.

For quite a few years now I have scribbled down many thoughts, moments of inspirations, questions that I have pondered, or useful bits of information I have picked up along the way in becoming a NLP Coach.

Through that conversation the other day, I realised how these thoughts were so much more useful if shared. It seemed selfish to keep them hidden in a drawer collecting dust when who knows somebody else may find something useful for their current life situation.

So here we go!

It has been a wonderful journey so far and I know this is just the beginning...the best is yet to come! Thank you for joining me on this beautiful road, together we will use those bumps and experiences along the way as stepping stones into a greater, brighter future for all, reminding ourselves and others that anything is achievable...as in the words of Audrey Hepburn "Nothing is impossible, even the word itself says I´m Possible."

Best wishes,

Emma
